(Owner) Vic Tamian's career started in the fine arts, selling artwork professionally at the age of fifteen. Vic exhibited paintings and apparel art in art galleries across the tri-state area such as; Grand Street Art and Framing in Newark, Drue Chryst Gallery in Sparta, Art at the Mill in Lafayette, Ahead of Our Thyme Gallery in Milford PA, etc. Always determined to learn more, Vic found a new love of tattooing while at the same time attending William Paterson University. While there, Vic also showed artwork in student exhibitions such as; Advanced Drawing Exhibition, and Go Figure! Exhibition. Vic graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Studio Art, Class of 2013. Vic creates tattoos with fine art methods that convey the true artistry that goes into the craft. Vic's technique is detail oriented and unique, and tattooing style is balanced; black and grey, color, traditional, neo, organic, dotwork, realism, portraits, blackwork, cover-ups, freehand pieces, and custom original pieces. Vic Tamian created Victory Fine Art Gallery and Body Art Studio to stand apart from the rest of the other tattoo shops, by offering a friendly, creative atmosphere that is welcoming to ALL.
"As a tattoo artist, I got my start working directly under Tattoo Tony. I was his apprentice and learned the art, history and culture of tattoos and had the pleasure of traveling with him to work conventions on the East Coast. As an artist now at my current shop, I take care of many walk-ins but mostly work by appointment basis. My tattoo work tends to be more Neo-Traditional and Illustrative at times, but I am working to transcend my work to more of a New School style. I also love and find myself doing more custom black and grey tattoos than color, but it doesn't mean that I don't love doing a good color piece"
