Piercing

Why Titanium?

Titanium has a high strength-to-density ratio, making it a lighter, more comfortable, and more durable alternative to stainless steel. Titanium also doesn't contain any nickel, which makes it safe for those with allergies or sensitive skin.  However, titanium is a rarer metal to be produced, and as a result it is generally slightly more expensive.

Why Gold?

Times have changed, as gold is no longer recommended for initial piercings!

Gold as an alloy, is mixed with base metals to make the “gold jewelry” you’d typically buy. The higher the karat, the softer the piece. For example, a 10k gold piece of jewelry is stronger and has more mixed metals than an 18k gold piece of jewelry.

The fluids secreted by the body’s healing piercing site may cause corrosion of the base metals inside the gold jewelry. While it is generally considered safe to still get pierced with gold, we recommend instead getting pierced with titanium and then switching to gold when the piercing channel is healed, if gold is more your style.

All jewelry is individually priced;
